Ducktails currently employs full-time physical, occupational, and speech therapists, as well as full-time administrative staff, to assist with insurance and scheduling. Each of our staff is dedicated to professional excellence and providing your family with a positive therapy experience.
Lisa Duckworth, Owner, PT, CSCS, CFS
Lisa Duckworth has been a physical therapist specializing in pediatric treatment for over 20 years. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University, she holds advanced degrees in the areas of physical therapy, biochemistry, and chemistry. She holds a number of specialized certifications, including Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), Children's Fitness Specialist (CFS), Personal Trainer, and Group Fitness Instructor. She believes that movement and sport are critical in the development of a child's self confidence, self esteem, and self worth.
Jenny Jordan, SLP-CCC
Jenny Jordan, SLP-CCC, received her Masters in Speech Pathology from Abilene Christian University. She holds a Georgia state license for Speech Pathology and has her certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Her professional experiences and interests are in autism, feeding, articulation, sensory integration, and language development.
Jeff Kertscher, MS.PT
Jeff has both a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Georgia (1996) and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Armstrong Atlantic State University (1998). Jeff has been a member of the Ducktails Team since January 2008. His special interests are in splinting and casting, Torticollis, wheelchair consultation and assessment, and orthotic consultation and assessment. Jeff's interests outside of work include fitness, video editing, and trying to be the best dad and husband ever!
Chelsea Palmer, OTR/L
Chelsea received her Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Science from Augusta State University before completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy at the Medical College of Georgia. She plans to further her education by becoming certified in sensory integration, in order to treat all the different sensory systems of the body to promote independence and success for each child. Chelsea also plans to get specialty certifications in vision, as many children suffer from vision problems that create further difficulties with learning. She has a special interest in pet therapy and discovering the benefits that children, as well as adults, can receive from working with a therapy pet. In her free time, Chelsea enjoys working out, crafts, couponing, antique shopping, and traveling.
Susan Wise, COTA/L
Susan has been a member of the Ducktails team since August of 2008. She received her Associates of Science in Occupational Therapy Assistant from GHSU (1991). Susan also holds a Modalities Certification in Heat and Cold and is also Interactive Metronome Certified. She has special interests in self-care, fine motor/VMI skills, life skills, neuro-developmental treatment, handwriting, assistive technology, and aquatic therapy. She is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association. Susan's personal interests include running, travelling to the beach, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Bella.
